Battle Won

"Battle Won" will be available for adoption in about six months (October 2008).  Battle Won is a hard trying eight year Honor & Glory gelding who raced primarily in graded stakes races (15 of his last 17 starts).  This champion racer hit the board in most of his 32 starts with a career record of 9-8-4 and is a winner of over $800,000 in purse earnings.

Battle Won's trainer Mike Mitchell reports that he has suffered a suspensory injury and will be retired from racing.  Mike is going to rehab him personally in his barn and then would like to see him become a pleasure horse for someone special, as this horse is very special to him and to his owners Jay and Gretchen Manoogian.

This gelding won many a battle during his career and has earned a well deserved retirement.  Please contact us if you can help us find a suitable placement for our veteran racer.

Battle Won has been adopted by the track veterinarian at Hollywood Park.  This remarkable athlete has now been given a forever home with someone who has seen him through both his stellar victories and his career ending injury.   It is always good to have a doctor in the house!
