My Future (Lady)

Lady is a wonderfully gentle, very wise 22 year old Thoroughbred English-trained mare who's had 8 babies. Therefore she's really great with kids.  She knows quite a bit of dressage as well and is 16.1 hands.  Her name says it all:   A real Lady, well mannered, gentle and knowledgeable.  She could still teach us a few lessons whether or not we are kids. 

Lady's needs are very basic - she eats once a day, plus hay, and her hylamotion supplement.  She just gets her feet trimmed, doesn't wear shoes, and hasn't required any veterinary visits in the past 6 years.  She would be best suited for light but regular riding.  Her only problems are an onset of mild arthritis but as long as she is gently exercised regularly should be no problem. 

Lady may be a real Lady now but in the past she was named Her Future and as Her Future she had ten starts and won three of those races so she was a bona fide race horse at one time before retiring to a simpler and more elegant life.

Lady has found a home with a family in the Northern California area.
