Lyph N Lizzard

Lyph N Lizzard, aka "Rocco", is a 13 year old, papered thoroughbred gelding. He is a grandson of Lyphard, an Oklahoma bred by King Lyph, who raced just once, and spent a short period of time as a racetrack pony. He wound up in a Massachusetts hunter/jumper barn upon leaving the racetrack, (and is apparently a good jumper), where he was leased by his current owner. His current owner then purchased him in 2000 and, although she herself was not an enthusiastic jumper, she has since extensively invested in dressage training and riding of Rocco. Rocco and his owner moved to southern California some years ago, and his owner is sadly no longer able to afford to keep him. Rocco has been ridden a lot less over the past 18 months than in his past. Rocco is located northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Rocco is apparently well trained and sound, 16/2h, very kind, but probably not ideal for a beginner (a little spooky).

The adoption of Rocco is a joint effort by the Golden Carrot, SCTB Rescue, GEVA and Neigh Savers.

Update:  Rocco has found a good home in Northern California!  He will be ridden by a very tall 14 year old teenager.  As sometimes happens with strange coindences, the new adoptee is a neighbor of the aunt of the woman who needed to find him a home.
