One Sharp Mensch (Click here for Past Performances)

"One Sharp Mensch" has arrived at Hossmoor in Martinez and is being partially sponsored and trained by Juliette Hengartner Ald, a dressage trainer at the facility. We have named him "Manny" and he settled right into Hossmoor as though he'd been there always. He's still a bit of a handful when hand walking as he thinks he's going to the track to race!

Manny is an eight year old dark bay gelding by Makaleha. He has been racing since 2007 and has 15 races to his credit. He was injured in 2009 and spent over a year off recovering from a suspensory injury. He came back to the races and later this year had a splint removed from which he has totally recovered. This horse has one of the sweetest and kindest personalities you can find. He's also very smart so his name is befitting in that he is SHARP and a real MENSCH.

Trainer Juliette reports that she is very happy with his work thus far and that he has a beautiful trot and only needs to be told what to do a few times before picking it up. She believes down the road he has great potential to be a very fine dressage horse. Obviously he scores very high in the looks department alone.
