Glow of Love (Click here for Past Performances)
"Glow of Love" aka Patsy is aptly named. She is one big love and it is difficult to get any of the young horses away from her as shown. Patsy had five starts as a racehorse
but has primarily been a surrogate mare for years. In her short racing career she hit the board 3 of 5 times and did break her maiden as well. We now wish to retire her from this duty although she will miss her charges. Patsy is so kind and gentle and well built that
she would make the most excellent riding horse. She is actually quite well bred by Larry the Legend out of the mare Cozy Sarah (Cozzene). At a perfect eight years of age she will
give some lucky person years of joy and companionship. She has been well cared for and is 100% sound. Patsy is located at Kimberlee Farms in Somis, CA.
Since we are only focusing on retraining of potential show horses Patsy does not fit into our program at Kimberlee Farms and needs to find a suitable home where
she can flourish.
The last photo shows Patsy in her heyday on the track. She was a beautiful mover!!!!!
Update - October 2010
Patsy has been adopted by our new friend Samantha and will be living in Colusa, CA on a small private farm. Patsy will be Sam's first horse and she is over
the moon excited about this. We hope her boyfriend won't get too very jealous since she says she can't stop talking about Patsy. We will be looking forward to photos and updates. Colusa has become the hub of adopted Neigh Savers horses as Clever Captian,
Nuevo Emigrant, Robert the Great and Speed N Valor also found homes there with different adopters.
Update - November 2010
Samantha reports the following: "I've changed her name to Maggie, and she is doing great! She has come along way and is very calm and sweet.
We finally have to her turned out with the other horses and things couldn't be going better. The farrier came out yesterday and she was such a good girl!
Everyone thinks she's a beauty! I figured out why she was being such a nut; she was in heat.
So I'm happy to report that she isn't a nut anymore!"
