Upsized

"Upsized" or Pippa is a dark bay mare with three socks and chrome by Capsized. Pippa is a smallish but very well built mare coming in 15.2hh and approximately 1,000 pounds. She was born in 2007 making her 6 years old. Pippa raced 17 times and made about 23K in total earnings. She sustained a hairline fracture in her last start in her knee and was turned in pasture for a year. Although she is now sound her owners decided not to return her to racing and donated her to Neigh Savers instead.

This is a really nice mare....she is very very affectionate and sweet. Calm under saddle, listens well and has excellent ground manners. We believe she would make an very good children's hunter although we are still working with her to find out what she is best at. We have free jumped her and she jumped at 2'3" and has a natural eye. Pippa is located in the east bay and may be seen by appointment. You must have an adoption application on file with us to see any horse.
